Foschini’s Investment in Local Continues with Local Collaborations

The Foschini brand’s investment in locally made fashion continues to expand and grow. The move by the brand is a continued commitment to grow the local fashion retail sector and positively contribute to the South African economy. To date, up to 50% of Foschini’s 2019 summer collection, which includes footwear and accessories, is produced locally. Adding to that, this week, the brand officially announced its partnerships with local brands. The first of these is a collaboration with Burgundy Fly, a well-loved woman-focused fashion brand based in Gauteng.

Small to medium enterprises are at greatest risk from cyber security threats, and their vulnerability in turn poses a danger to the major corporations that they do business with.

This is the contention of Steven A. Melnyk, Professor of Supply Chain Management at Michigan State University in the United States, who recently shared his insights with South African supply chain professionals at the inaugural SAPICS Spring Conference.

Sab Agricultural Research And Development Centre Gives Sa Black Emerging Farmers The Edge

SAB has opened an R80 million agricultural Research and Development facility in Caledon in the Western Cape, which will pilot new farming techniques, technology and crop varieties to accelerate agricultural development in South Africa. The facility will have a critical focus on black emerging farmers.

The facility was officially launched in conjunction with the National Department of Agriculture, today.
